Trenton Alumni Chapter and Trenton Kappa Foundation Celebrate 75th Anniversary

The Trenton Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. (trentonalumnikappas.com), in conjunction with the Trenton Kappa Foundation (trentonkappafoundation.org), is proud to announce its 75th Anniversary Gala, themed “King of Diamonds – White Tie Affair – Casino Night.”

This landmark celebration is scheduled to take place from 7 PM to midnight on April 6, 2024, at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village, 201 Village Blvd, Princeton, NJ, marking nearly three-quarters of a century since the chapter’s charter on April 6, 1949, and the subsequent establishment of the Trenton Kappa Foundation in 2001. 

Since its inception, the Trenton Alumni Chapter and the Trenton Kappa Foundation have been at the forefront of community service and development in Mercer County. Through strategic collaborations with local nonprofits, businesses, and governmental entities, the organizations have dedicated themselves to mentorship, education, and scholarship, with a particular focus on addressing critical issues within the African American community.   • Guide Right Kappa League Program: A comprehensive mentorship initiative for high school young men, emphasizing academic success, college readiness, STEM education, civic engagement, aviation, and health and wellness.
  • Scholarships: Providing over $11,000 annually in scholarships to deserving Mercer County students.
  • Community Support: Donating over 500 coats to Trenton Public School students since 2021 and offering financial literacy seminars for community members and their families.
  • Leadership Development: Hosted the Kappa League Leadership Conference for over 400 African American young men in the Northeast Province.
  • Health and Wellness: Organizing health seminars on critical issues and feeding over 300 families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons since 2019. 

Event Details: The “King of Diamonds – White Tie Affair – Casino Night” gala will be an evening of elegance and excitement, offering guests a unique blend of entertainment, including casino-style gaming, with all proceeds supporting the charitable efforts of the Trenton Alumni Chapter and the Trenton Kappa Foundation. The event, taking place at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village, 201 Village Blvd, Princeton, NJ, is set at $175 per person, with opportunities for individual donations, sponsorships, and placing advertisements in a commemorative souvenir journal.

The organizations cordially invite members of the community, local businesses, and fellow Greek-letter organizations to join in celebrating this significant milestone.
