Capital Harmony Works invites you to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today, Jan 15th, 2024, at the Turning Point Methodist Church beginning at 3 PM.

The Trenton Children’s Chorus and the Trenton Music Makers will be performing as well as a special guest performance from the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and a presentation from the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

Entrance tickets will be non-perishable or canned goods for donation. Attendees will also have the opportunity to donate money toward the program throughout the event.

Founded in 2022, Capital Harmony Works was created by the merger of two thriving creative youth development organizations, the Trenton Children’s Chorus, and the Trenton Music Makers.

Their mission is to provide quality musical education and empower young musicians to pursue excellence in music. They are deemed a source of pride for Trentonians and a hub of creative development resources.

In addition to enriching the preschool environment in the city, supporting teachers, and encouraging creative activity at home, Capital Harmony Works provides after-school programs that support young children as well as improve elementary math, language arts achievement, as well as arts awareness. Peer mentorship is encouraged and after-school programs like Trenton Music Makers and Trenton Children’s Chorus, provide students a “home away from home,” where they learn to challenge themselves in a supportive atmosphere.
