City of Trenton Celebrates Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Parade

On Friday, December 5th, 2025, the City of Trenton proudly held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade. Hundreds of residents and visitors gathered to celebrate the start of the holiday season with festive music, entertainment, and community spirit.
This year’s parade featured the Trenton Central High School marching band, decorated floats, local organizations, the Fire and Police Departments, and Santa Claus. Families lined the streets to enjoy the live procession, which brought joy and cheer throughout the city.
Following the parade, attendees gathered at City Hall, where city officials joined them to enjoy a variety of performances before officially illuminating the city’s 43-foot Christmas tree. The lighting ceremony was greeted with applause, symbolizing the start of the holiday season in Trenton.
“We are incredibly grateful for the joy and enthusiasm shared by our residents, visitors, friends, and families,” said Mayor W. Reed Gusciora. “Seeing our community come together, smiling, singing, and celebrating beneath the glow of the Capital City’s Christmas tree makes this one of the most magical nights of the year. Moments like these remind us how special it is to call Trenton home.”
The celebration also featured hot chocolate from Signal 22, free gifts for children, live music, and dance performances.
The City of Trenton extends its appreciation to residents, city staff, volunteers, local businesses, and sponsors whose contributions made this year’s celebration memorable.
