Trenton native brings The Tox Wellness Studio to Princeton

Black history isn’t confined to a single month or defined solely by the landmark achievements of the past. It’s alive in the present, shaped by innovators like Trenton native and entrepreneur DeAnna Minus-Vincent. With the opening of her cutting-edge wellness studio, The Tox, Minus-Vincent is not only carving out a space in the self-care industry, but also continuing a legacy of excellence and innovation.
Today, Minus-Vincent is the CEO of the D-velopment Group, her consulting firm in which she helps grow businesses using innovative solutions with a deep-rooted commitment to social justice. She also serves as the EVP of the Black Women’s Health Imperative, the only national nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our nation’s 21 million Black women and girls.
Though Minus-Vincent’s accomplishments are many, her journey began within Trenton’s “7 square miles.” “My mother taught at Trenton Central High School for many years,” she shared, reflecting on her roots with pride.
The Tox, a national wellness franchise, specializes in innovative massage techniques designed to enhance digestive and lymphatic health. Its studios offer unique body and facial treatments aimed at detoxifying the body and mind, boosting metabolism, reducing water retention, and flushing out toxins. Fans of the method also rave about its ability to deliver a tighter, sleeker appearance. “It helps aesthetically, mentally, and just helps across the board,” says Minus-Vincent, who co-own the franchise with her husband, Daryl Minus-Vincent.

Drawing on her wealth of experience as an executive, she seized the opportunity to invest in a promising franchise—and with that, The Tox Princeton was born, bringing a new wave of wellness to the community.
“I didn’t choose The Tox. It chose me,” Minus-Vincent says when speaking about her first lymphatic massage experience while simultaneously learning about recent openings in franchising opportunities. “I had been to lots of wellness places, but it’s the way it (The Tox technique) made me feel. There were also products like dry brushes and lymphatic teas to assist with maintaining wellness in between sessions. It was a holistic shift in thought about digestive and lymphatic health.”
“Everything came full circle,” Minus-Vincent recalls, “I needed to find wellness and a place to get back to more centered-ness and taking care of self.” She stumbled upon The Tox on a chance recommendation from her daughter and left her first session not only feeling lighter, healthier, and renewed, but with a spark in her entrepreneurial drive.
At the pinnacle of her career as a C-Suite executive in New Jersey’s largest healthcare system, Minus-Vincent was focused, poised, and in charge. Within the span of 90 days, her life was turned upside down when she lost her mother and suffered from a heart attack.
With The Tox Princeton, Minus-Vincent is not only bringing an innovative approach to wellness, but also creating a space where self-care meets empowerment. Her journey from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the power of prioritizing health.
As she prepares to open The Tox Princeton, Minus-Vincent hopes to inspire others to take charge of their well-being—both physically and mentally. “This isn’t just about business,” she says. “It’s about helping people feel their best, inside and out.”
The grand opening of The Tox Princeton in late February marks the beginning of a new chapter, not just for Minus-Vincent, but for the community she serves. Check their website The Tox – Lymphatic Drainage Body Sculpting for details.
