Trenton Housing Authority Awarded $250,000 to provide safer environment for residents

HUD’s Capital Fund Emergency Safety and Security Program recently awarded the Trenton Housing Authority $250,000 in grant funds from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. The funds were provided in order to upgrade public housing throughout the city, addressing security and safety issues. With the goal of creating safer and livable conditions for residents, the money awarded will be used to provide security, alarm and lighting systems, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, as well as stronger window and door guards.
