Find out what’s on the agenda at this weeks Trenton City Council meeting

This Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. Trenton City Council will hold their regular public meeting. A notice was given on the City’s website, indicating that the October 31st session has been canceled. Instead, a combined conference and regular session meeting will take place on the same day. Take a look at a few of the noteworthy items on the docket to be discussed and some that have been resolved.

  • Resolution amending authorizing the City of Trenton to apply for an amount not to exceed $20,000 from the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone Authority Zone Assistance Fund (ZAF) to provide awards of rent to winners of a business plan competition.
  • Resolution awarding a contract in to purchase personal protection fire and safety equipment using American Rescue Plan Funds in an amount not to exceed $464,571.12
  • Resolution authorizing and directing the planning board of the City of Trenton to hear and review a proposed Donnelly Homes redevelopment area plan pursuant to the local redevelopment and housing law.

All City Council meetings are held at City Hall (319 E. State Street 2nd fl. Trenton). We reached out to Councilwoman Jennifer Williams yesterday and was notified that Thursday’s council meeting will not be lived streamed as we were previously told by someone who works with council. Williams said that she contacted Municipal Clerk, Brandon Garcia, and was told that she was “confident that it will be soon.”
