Paving the Way Art: Inspired by the Trentoniana Cycling Archives
The Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA) and the Trenton Free Public Library will present the exhibition “Paving the Way Art: Inspired by the Trentoniana Cycling Archives” at the Trenton Free Public Library from September 19 – December 19, 2026.
This is a continuation of the art series that showcases the talent of area artists, which is slated to continue as an ongoing series. “Paving the Way: Art Inspired by the Trentoniana Cycling Archives” celebrates the rich history of the bicycle in Trenton. The artwork draws inspiration ranging from the club logs, publications, and images of the “Trenton Wheelmen” of the 1880’s to the CoreStates professional cycling races in downtown Trenton in the 1990’s, to the Trenton Cycling Revolution’s “Tour de Trenton” of today! This show will be part of Artworks Trenton’s annual ART ALL DAY Open Studio Tour, Saturday, Sept 19, 2026, 12-6 PM
TAWA is a Greater Trenton nonprofit organization and has a 40-year history organizing exhibits in such venues as the New Jersey State Museum, Trenton City Museum, Artworks Trenton, Prince Street Gallery in New York City, and more.
The Trenton Free Public Library is located at 120 Academy Street and is located in the Creek2Canal Trenton Arts District. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on the library, call 609-392-7188.
