October 15th
Story & Verse: A Storytelling and Poetic Open Mic – “After Midnight”
Enjoy an evening of community-created entertainment in the form of storytelling and poetry. All are welcome to tell a well-prepared story or perform their poetry. Each month, the theme will be inspired by a well-known song title. Artists are invited to interpret the theme as broadly as they wish. Performers should bring their own work, inspired by this month’s theme: After Midnight. The evening will include 45 minutes of stories and 45 minutes of poetry with a brief intermission.
Doors open: 7:00 pm
Stories begin: 7:30 pm
Performer Details
- Performers will be randomly selected from names in a ‘hat’.
- Enjoy an evening of community-created entertainment in the form of storytelling and poetry. All are welcome to tell a well-prepared story or perform their poetry. - Poets should perform their own poetry, up to 5 minutes in length, related to the theme.
- Performers will be selected at random, so it’s possible that not everyone will get to perform.
October 16th
The Fall Festival

Ewing Green Team Scarecrow
Mayor Bert Steinmann, the Ewing Green Team, Ewing Arts Commission, and Art Has No Boundaries are pleased to announce that the 3rd All Around Town Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt taking place from 8:00 am-8:00 pm. Look for our scarecrows all around town: in storefronts, in front yards, and on the grounds of local businesses. Local businesses and organizations may be somewhat easier to find as you may reference information about them in clues. Residential scarecrows may be somewhat more difficult. Live Music Meditation, Princeton University Concerts
Breathe in sound and silence through a guided meditation as you listen to music more viscerally than ever before, feeling its vibrations slowly fade into the splendor of nature. Guests are invited to experience the popular Breathe in Music program in a new outdoor format, combining meditation instruction by Matthew Weiner, Associate Dean in the Office of Religious Life, with live music performed by the next generation of classical music stars
October 27th
The African American Chamber of Commerce Mixer
The AACC will hold an “On the Road” mixer from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm where attendees can network and expand corporate community engagement and learn about the AACC. The event will be held at 2300 Route 33, Robensiville, New Jersey 08691. Click the link to register.
October 30th
New Jersey State Museum Planetarium
After undergoing a state-of-the-art renovation, you can be among the first to see a show when the Planetarium reopens. Two showings of fan-favorite “Laser Halloween," at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., on both Saturday and Sunday, plus other new shows. Kids 12 and under can also complete a stellar museum-wide scavenger hunt for a prize.
Admission for the Planetarium is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. Tickets are available at the Planetarium Box Office, 30 minutes before showtime. Click here for more details.
