The Trenton Book Fair returns to celebrate local authors and literary excellence

Trenton native and author Wahida Clark will be a part of The Trenton Book Fair.

The Trenton Book Fair is thrilled to announce its return to the Capital City on October 10, 2026, bringing together readers, writers, and publishers for a day of literary celebration. Held outside on West Lafayette Street, the fair will highlight the vibrant creative community of New Jersey and the greater region.

This year’s theme is “The Year of the Black Writer” with a homage to House and Hip Hop. Everyone is invited.  The Trenton Book Fair will feature local and regional authors, panel discussions, book signings, and interactive workshops for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and children’s literature.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the Trenton Book Fair back to our community. Trenton has a special vibe that we want to share with everyone,” said Donna Maywar, organizer of the event along with her husband Eric Maywar. “This event provides a vital platform for our local authors to share their voices, connect directly with avid readers, and showcase Trenton’s deep history of arts and culture.”
