Top competitive eaters return to Trenton for Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championship
Some of the world’s top competitive eaters will return to New Jersey’s capital for the 2026 World Famous Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championship. The event is part of the annual River Fest in Trenton and will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, inside Trenton Thunder Ballpark, 1 Thunder Rd., Trenton, NJ 08611.
Major League Eating is bringing a top-class field of competitors to Trenton, including five of the top 14-ranked competitive eaters in the world. No. 3-ranked James Webb headlines the field after finishing runner-up in each of the past three years of the World Famous Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championships. No. 5-ranked Nick Wehry, No. 10-ranked Radim Dvoracek, No. 13-ranked Darrien Thomas and No. 14-ranked George Chiger are among the challengers hoping to claim the championship.
Eaters will have 10 minutes to eat as many World Famous Case’s Pork Roll sandwiches as possible.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome back Major League Eating for the 2026 World Famous Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championship,” commented Jeff Hurley, President of the Trenton Thunder. “This contest has become one of the highlights of River Fest, and after several incredibly close finishes, we’re looking forward to another exciting competition at Trenton Thunder Ballpark.”
“The World Famous Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championship has become one of the most fiercely contested events on the Major League Eating calendar,” commented George Shea, chair of Major League Eating. “James Webb has been knocking on the door for three straight years, but this is a deep and talented field. The question now is whether Webb can finally bring home the hardware or whether another challenger will emerge as Trenton’s new champion.”
The eaters will compete for a $4,000 total prize purse. The prize money will be allocated as follows:
1st place: $2,000
2nd place: $1,000
3rd place: $600
4th place: $300
5th place: $100
