Tha Block Trenton, INC. presents: A seat at the table: A community meal event
Who doesn’t love to get together with others to enjoy a delicious meal, coupled with friendly faces and meaningful conversation? Tha Block Trenton, INC. recently announced their first ever, A Seat at The Table: A Community Meal event to take place on August 13th, 2022 in Cadwalader Park. As the first of many events of this kind, Tha Block Trenton, INC. hopes to share the spirit of community with Trenton residents via this free festival which will include dinner and a chance for Trentonians to collaborate on an art mural to pay homage to the 1979 Heritage Days of Trenton. Tha Block Trenton, INC. is currently seeking sponsors who would be interested in supporting the event, as well as volunteers. Celebrate Juneteenth all around Trenton!
June 19th or otherwise known as Juneteenth is a holiday to commemorate the 1865 emancipation of enslaved people in the United States following the Civil War. People all over the world will be celebrating this historic day with events and commemorations, and the city of Trenton will join in with their own festivities. Here are a few free or low-cost events around town that Trentonians can enjoy with their families:
Juneteenth Celebration
The African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County (AACCofMC) in partnership with the NJ Legislative District 15 Outdoor Equity Alliance is holding a free collaborative event complete with cultural arts, health and wellness, food and activities. Juneteenth Black Business Expo
The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at The College of New Jersey, The United States Small Business Administration, NJ Business Action Center and the Mercer County Office of Economic Development presents the first Black business expo in support of Black-owned businesses in the Mercer County area. The event will include food, shopping, live DJ and giveaways. Live entertainment by Alyson Williams, Anissa Gathers and Pamela Williams. Sponsorship is also available via lilian@sbdcnj.com. Juneteenth Celebrate Freedom

Looking to buy your first home?
On Wednesday, June 15th, homebuyers are invited to the virtual Welcome Home Fair for First-Time Homebuyers presented by Isles Inc. The event will provide individuals with everything they need to know before purchasing their first home, which includes information on the buying process, and tips from real estate experts and professionals. There will also be virtual vendor tables, along with videos and downloadable materials on financial assistance programs, mortgages and other services. Registration is required.
