Howell Farm is where you’ll want to BEE this Saturday
This Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m., Howell Farm will be holding their Spring Beekeeping & Gardening event for those outdoorsy springtime enthusiasts. Guests in attendance will meet their honeybees, see their hives, find out what bees do for the farm and the gardens, and learn about what makes a healthy hive.
If the weather cooperates, at 11:00 a.m., Howell Farm beekeeper, Johanna Swartzentruber, will give everyone a glimpse of the hives to check the health of the colony and view their work on the comb. At 2:00 p.m., there will also be a 45-minute presentation about “Life in a Honeybee Colony”. Don’t miss this seasonal, educational event.
