Howell Farm is where you’ll want to BEE this Saturday

This Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m., Howell Farm will be holding their Spring Beekeeping & Gardening event for those outdoorsy springtime enthusiasts. Guests in attendance will meet their honeybees, see their hives, find out what bees do for the farm and the gardens, and learn about what makes a healthy hive.

If the weather cooperates, at 11:00 a.m., Howell Farm beekeeper, Johanna Swartzentruber, will give everyone a glimpse of the hives to check the health of the colony and view their work on the comb. At 2:00 p.m., there will also be a 45-minute presentation about “Life in a Honeybee Colony”. Don’t miss this seasonal, educational event. First Presbyterian Church of Trenton

Resurrection Party at First Presbyterian Church of Trenton

First Presbyterian Church of Trenton is inviting families to join them in their annual Resurrection Party to celebrate the holiday. There will be Bible stories told, as well as an egg hunt and petting zoo for all ages to enjoy. The event is free!

Mommy Poppins

The hunt is on!

It’s that time of year again, and Mommy Poppins has a fun and free activity for children ages two through nine. On April 2nd, they are holding an Easter egg hunt festivity that will include activities and treats. They are asking that guests bring their own baskets to hold all the Easter eggs they can find. In the event that it rains, the egg hunt will be moved to Saturday, April 8th at 3:00 p.m. For information on the event, please call 609.799.2559.

Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market: A unique shopping event

Are you a punk rocker? Well, this event is surely for you. The legendary Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market is back for its annual Spring Fling market. The event, which will be held at the CURE Insurance Arena, is coming bigger than ever. The unique shopping destination will feature hundreds of artists, food trucks, live music, celebrity guests and more. It’s also a DIY craft fair and Cultural celebration of Punk Rock.

The Newtown Theatre presents: Three Stooges Film Fest

Were you a fan of old-school, slapstick comedy? If so, The Newtown Theatre is hosting a Three Stooges Film Festival that will have you remembering everything you loved about Larry, Moe and Curly’s antics. On Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m, Michelle Squiccimara, the registrar and outreach coordinator at The Stoogeum in Ambler will host and present five classic Three Stooges shorts.

Tickets for general admission are $20, while Newtown Theatre members who show their member card upon entry can pay $15 for tickets.

Below are a few details from the theatre regarding the event:

  • Doors open at 1 PM and the event starts at 2 PM.
  • Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase before the movie.
  • All tickets are general admission.
  • All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be offered for any reason. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
