Tips on Voting for General Election Day 202
Voting day is here in the Capital City and the Trenton Journal would like to give you few things to keep in mind to allow voting day to go as smoothly as possible despite an issue this morning with the voting machine scanners in Mercer County. A contingency plan was put in place for all ballots cast at all locations to be scanned at the secure Board of Elections office.
In New Jersey, the general election poll booths will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Don’t fret if you have to work that day—you will still have time to make it to the polls.
- Make sure you plan accordingly to vote at a polling station near you. Here is a link that supplies a Polling Place Search Tool so that you may make necessary arrangements in advance to be able to vote that day.
- Make sure you familiarize yourself with the ballot with this sample guide that will help you navigate the voting machine accordingly.
- According to Voter Identification Laws, do not worry about any form of ID. In the State of New Jersey, no type of identification or documents are required to vote.
