Free Utility Assistance Day

Free Utility Assistance Day is taking place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Mercer County James Kearny Campus, located at 102 N. Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.

This event is open to all residents, and organizers encourage you to share this opportunity with your family, friends, and community networks. Assistance is available for residents of all ages! Representatives from several organizations will be on-site, including:

  • Department of Community Affairs

To receive assistance, please bring the following documents:

  • One month’s proof of income statement for all household members 18 and over.
  • Copies of social security cards or residency status for all household members
  • Proof of address (copy of rental lease or housing authority letter). If a homeowner,
  • Tax bill, mortgage statement, or deed
  • All pages of the electric bill, natural gas, and heating bills.
