Update: Teenage male seen jumping off Rt. 1 bridge hit by multiple cars

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, at approximately 3:47 p.m., a teenage male was seen jumping off of the Route 1 bridge at Perry Street onto the highway and was struck by at least two vehicles. The teen was initially transported to Helene Fuld Medical Center before being transported to RWJ New Brunswick Pediatric ICU for further treatment. 

Early this week, the Trenton Police Department informed the Trenton Journal that the teen is currently alert and in stable condition, with a right leg fracture. The incident is still under investigation.
