Final Chapter: Art All Night legacy explored in new documentary

On April 17th, artist Phillip McConnell will debut a private screening of his documentary, Art All Night, at the Artworks Trenton building. This film offers an in-depth perspective on the efforts involved in bringing Art All Night to Trenton last year.
Marked in the documentary highlights is the announcement that 2025 was the final Art All Night hosted by Artworks Trenton. It has become too costly for Artworks to sustain on its own without major sponsorship and support. The event began at the Artworks building in 2007, where the Artworks staff quickly recognized that its rapid growth would require a larger venue. Consequently, it was relocated to Roebling Wireworks the following year, where it remained until 2019. The current staff expresses their gratitude for carrying forward the legacy established by Michael Gumbert, Lynn Lemere, Lauren Otis, and Joseph Kuzemka.
The tradition of Art All Night will continue through various communities nationwide, including its original host city, Pittsburgh. Artworks Trenton is committed to channeling the energy and experience gained from Art All Night into future initiatives such as the Summer Youth Art League, its regionally known Art All Day, Exhibitions, and the newly established Artist Accelerator Program, which will foster additional programming and support for Trenton artists.
