Rideshare Driver Charged with Luring, Harassment

A 28-year-old Spotswood man who has been identified as a Lyft driver has been charged with luring and harassment in two incidents in Princeton, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey reported.
Dimario Wynter, 28, Spotswood, is charged with two counts of third-degree luring and two counts of harassment (a petty disorderly persons offense). He is also charged with a disorderly persons offense for trying to solicit a sexual act from one of the victims. Wynter was arrested on April 30, 2026, at the Princeton Police Department and released pending future court appearances.Â
In an incident that occurred on April 16, 2026, a Princeton University student reported she was on Prospect Avenue around 12 p.m. when an individual driving a vehicle stopped and asked her for directions. He then gave her a $100 bill, exited the vehicle, walked quickly toward her, and demanded a sexual act. The victim dropped the money and fled the area. The investigation revealed the vehicle the suspect was driving was a black Jeep Patriot.
In an incident that occurred on April 17, 2026, a Princeton University student reported she was on Ivy Lane at approximately 9:30 a.m. when an individual driving a dark van or SUV stopped and asked her for directions. He then handed her a $100 bill and asked her to leave with him. The suspect left the area after the victim returned the money.
An investigation into the incidents by Princeton University Department of Public Safety Detective Martin Krzywicki revealed that Wynter is a rideshare driver for Lyft.
